As the weather starts to warm up in the spring, typically around 55°F, adult mason bees will emerge from their winter dormancy and begin mating. The female bees will then seek out suitable nesting sites, such as the provided bee house, to lay their eggs. After the eggs hatch, the larvae will feed on the abundant pollen and nectar within each nesting slot. By late June, the larvae will spin cocoons and begin their transformation into adult bees. During this time, no external bee activity will be visible, and it's important not to disturb the house.
