The professional portable pop-up house is designed for rearing and breeding butterflies, praying mantis, and other bugs. The professional version of the butterfly enclosure is more square, sits straight, and does not rock or move. When unfolded, the pavilion measures 15.7 x 15.7 x 24 inches.

The butterfly growing kits package includes a Butterfly Habitat Terrarium and a Quick Start Guide Manual. When opening the large, tall Monarch butterfly tents, users must be cautious. After removing the elastic strap from around the circle, the cube cage can pop open unexpectedly, so ensure adequate space and no breakable objects nearby.

After opening the net cage, the PVC side will be creased from folding. To remove the creases, users can blow-dry the PVC with a hair dryer for about 5 minutes or place the PVC towards warm sunlight to relax the wrinkles. It is important to always close the cage door so the zippers meet at the top center. If a caterpillar is somewhere on the zipper, this will allow users to zip down the other side to open.

To clean the mesh cage after a disease outbreak or at the end of the season, it should be soaked in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for approximately 20 minutes. The cage can be soaked in a tub or laundry tub. After cleaning, the butterfly garden should be rinsed with water and then left to sun-dry, either by hanging it on a clothesline or placing a rock on the floor to prevent it from blowing away.

When folding the cage for storage, users should place their hands on opposite upper corners of the cage and press one corner in to fold the cage flat. The cage can then be stored flat in a closet, under a bed, behind a couch, or any other suitable location.

The enclosure features two side-opening doors (Door and Drawbridge opening doors) for easier feeding of the butterflies and cleaning of the frass. The polyester bottom also makes cleaning easier. The five mesh panels provide good airflow, and the clear vinyl window panel allows students and families an unforgettable opportunity to watch caterpillars change into chrysalides and then emerge as beautiful Monarch, Painted Lady, or Black Swallowtail Butterflies.

The collapsible design makes the enclosure easy to store and reuse, with the unfolded dimensions measuring 15.7 x 15.7 x 24 inches. The tall and wide design can accommodate large 2 milkweed plants, and the large zipper side opening allows for easy feeding of the butterflies before releasing them into the wild.
